Kate Gosselin's Lawyer Issues Statement
Kate hired high powered lawyer Marty Singer to issue a warning to both Jon and his lawyer in regards to money withdrawn from the couples joint bank account.
Jon went against court order when he took out more than $200,000, and now it is demanded that he return it.
Singer says:
If the money is not immediately returned, we will be looking into potential claims against Mr. Heller if he had any involvement with the violation of the court order. It is very disappointing that Jon Gosselin has escalated this to such an ugly place that her lawyers have to do everything they can to protect her and her children from his outrageous actions.
This is no joke, people. Jon could be headed to jail if he’s found to be in contempt of the court order.
La Toya Jackson Defends Her Father
Joe Jackson mentioned the launch of his record label in the immediate days following Michael’s death, causing critics to accuse him of using the passing to boost publicity for the comany (Ranch Records).
During an interview with CNN, in which he was expected to make comments about Jackson’s funeral, the 79 year old introduced his business partner, Marshall Thompson, and went on to explain the workings of his new venture:
Marshall and I have – we own a record company. Talking about Blu-ray technology. That’s the next step.
La Toya Jackson now defends her father, insisting his actions were misunderstood. As a guest co-host on The View yesterday, she said:
I think a lot of people don’t understand my father. He says things the way it is and like it is. What he was trying to say, although he didn’t execute it properly, to the world was that, I have this record company, Michael has songs that are out, so to keep the estate going what I’m going to do is put all these songs on my record company so his music can be played to fans around the world. But it didn’t come out that way. That’s what he meant.
We agree that he made a mistake in advertising the label when Michael died. Do you think having a daughter rush to his defense work in his favor, or has your sympathy for the Jackson’s run dry?
Kate Gosselin On 'The View'
On Monday morning, Kate Gosselin appeared on The View where she answered several questions about her personal life.
Sherri Shepherd asked about Jon bringing 22-year-old girlfriend Hailey Glassman around the 8 young kids. Gosselin replied:
This is all difficult – I’m not going to lie.
She avoided answering for the sake of her children, saying she’d take “the high road.”
Last weekend, Serena Williams lost her temper at a judge and was fined $10,000 for her profanity during after she lost the semifinals of the US Open. Kate defended her reaction, saying:
I think the important thing here is that she’s in the public eye. We’re all human.
The 34-year-old even admitted:
In the privacy of my own home, this weekend, I melted down.
She continues to film Jon and Kate Plus 8 for the kids, adding:
So many people say, ‘Stop … just pull out. I can stop, but I’d still have all the flack and the paychecks, I have to support my children. I’m a single mom, and now more than ever I need to be out there working hard to support my children. It comes with a price; every job that people do comes with a price.
I give props to Kate for not completing slamming Jon in her interviews (I know I would!). She somehow remains calm through the whole situation, and is being a good mommy!
Elisabeth Hasselback Welcomes Baby Boy
The View co-host gave birth to a little boy on Sunday afternoon.
The baby, named Isaiah Timothy, weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces at birth.
Her husband, Tim Hasselback, said:
Elizabeth and Isaiah are doing great.
This is the third child for the couple.
Congrats!
SJP and Mathew Broderick Welcome Twins!
Barbara Walters announced the happy news on The View today, after WTRF in Ohio reported the girls were born this morning.
A rep for the couple says:
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed.
Broderick and Parker are reportedly at the East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry with the surrogate mother.
Congratulations!! James Wilkie will make a great big brother :)

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Gets Sued
The View cohost is being sued by self-published author Susan Hassett for stealing her book idea.
The federal lawsuit was filed in Boston, and claimed that Hasselbeck infringed on her copyrights by publishing a book on Celiac Disease called The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide.
The TV personality suffers from Celiac disease herself, hence the interest in the subject.
No comment has been released yet from Hasselbeck’s publisher, Hachette Book Group.
MTV Probably Isn't Happy With Lauren Conrad
You know that episode of The Hills where Spencer Pratt apologized to Lauren Conrad for starting those sex tape rumors in order to get her to attend his wedding? Looks like it was due to the magic of editing!
The author of ‘L.A. Candy’ stopped by The View today where she was asked about the incident.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked whether she felt the apology was sincere, to which Conrad gave the following response:
To be perfectly honest, I wasn’t on the other end of that call. That was filmed, and I wasn’t on the other end. So I didn’t even know about it until [it was on TV]. So, no, I didn’t get an apology. He lied.
So what was the reason she decided to attend their wedding?
It’s hard to understand now, but a long time ago — years ago — we moved here together, and we were best friends, and we used to say, ‘Some day at our wedding….I just felt like it was a few hours of my time, and as much as I didn’t agree with it, I might some day regret not doing it.
Oh MTV…you’re so tricky!!
Sherri Shepherd Caught Cheating
The View cohost Sherri Shepherd learned the hard way not to be to revealing about giving into temptations while on a diet!
On Sunday she tweeted:
messed up a little last night … had fried calamari and fried catfish – gotta stay away from the soul food! Back on track today – gym at 3 pm.
Uh oh! Well, on the talk show this morning, Shepherd revealed:
This weekend, I was out in L.A., and I’m tweeting about [how] I had fried calamari and I had some buffalo wings and I just went totally off my diet. And it was great! I did not know that my nutritional coach and my trainer follow me.
Everyone needs a cheat day at least once a week… especially on the weekends! :)
Hasselbeck Not Focused on Baby Bump
While Elizabeth Hasselbeck is no stranger to pregnancy (she’s on baby # 3 now!), she says she’s not paying much attention to her bun in the oven.
The View co-host reports to People Mag:
I’m definitely not paying attention to my pregnancy. That won’t be true for the child [when it arrives]. But now, when you have two kids running around you’re not the pregnant person you were before.
She also admits that the help this time around is not as good as the first!
For the first pregnancy, you’re a pregnant goddess and everyone is running around giving you water. But the third time around, you’re just lucky to have a prenatal pill by the end of day!
The TV personality is due to give birth this August.
