In a new interview conducted before her stint in jail, Lindsay admits she was headed in the wrong direction.

The 24-year-old tells Vanity Fair:

I was irresponsible. And I’m not making excuses.

She attributes her problems in part to the tabloids, saying:

I would look up to those girls … the Britneys and whatever. And I would be like, I want to be like that.

Lindsay’s days of hitting the club are winding, she explains:

If I were the alcoholic everyone says I am then putting a [scram] bracelet on would have ended me up in detox, in the emergency room, because I would have had to come down from all the things that people say I’m taking and my father says I’m taking – so that says something, because I was fine.

Her father, Michael, insists she has a drug problem. Lindsay reveals that’s not the case:

I’ve never abused prescription drugs. I never have – never in my life. I have no desire to. That’s not who I am. I’ve admitted to the things that I’ve done – to, you know, dabbling in certain things and trying things ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, okay, ’cause other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me. And I see what happened in my life because of it.

The actress believes her father should be “looked at medically” and has some sort of “chemical imbalance”. She’s ready to move on with her life and plans on diving back into work:

I want my career back. I know that I’m a damn good actress, and it’s been my passion since I was a child, and I know that when I care about something, I put 100 percent and more into it. … I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It’s not fun anyway. I don’t care. It’s the same thing every time.

I would love nothing more than to see Lindsay be a successful actress again! Clearly she’s learned something during rehab, I just hope it sticks :)

Lindsay Lohan was spotted arriving at her condo in West Hollywood Friday afternoon. Now that she’s out of rehab, the paparazzi are definitely going to be on her like a bad rash. We have yet to see her out at a club since her release, which is a good thing!

I wonder if she’s throwing herself back into work. Sources close to the actress say she’s interested in playing the lead in The Bride of Frankenstein. Lindsay’s agent reportedly gave her a script before she went to jail, though an exec behind the remake of the film says there is “no truth” to the rumor.

Lindsay Lohan was spotted getting back into her car after visiting the dentist in Santa Monica, California yesterday. Maybe rehab did her some good? Rumor has it she and Sam have rekindled their romance. The DJ has been visiting Linds more and more these days. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if this one is true!

First were the rumors that Lindsay Lohan was going to sign on for Celebrity Apprentice, now the pros at Dancing With The Stars reveal they’d like to have her join them on stage!

Reportedly, the actress is getting out of rehab any day now (and no, she didn’t serve her full sentence). If that’s the case, she has plenty of time to make a deal with the show to appear on their upcoming season.

Dancer Derek Hough says:

If she did it, I’d be game. It’s cool because you do see people turn their lives around on Dancing With the Stars. It keeps them fit. It’s nice to see people a year later who started on the new health regime and have kept on track.

Hough explains that Lindsay would have to be completely focused in order to compete:

You have to want to do the show. You should never come into the show having a manager or any agent or anybody telling you should do this. You need to want to do it. Those are the people who do the best, who want to be there and they’re excited about it. They’re not just there because somebody told them to do it.

I honestly think if she did make the decision to join, it would turn her life around a bit. People would definitely view Lindsay in a different light, and it would be a HEALTHY career move for her!

After the drama surrounding Rachel Uchitel’s release from the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice, Donald Trump clearly had to find another way to reel in the ratings. His next best bet? Lindsay Lohan! Yet, he says she must be completely healthy before competing on the program.

Trump reveals he’s been in talks with Lohan’s peeps for the actress to take a spot on the next season of the reality TV hit, following her release from jail and stint in rehab. He tells Extra:

We haven’t made a decision. We just want her to be 100 percent, get better and be strong.

I’ll admit it…I was never into this show, but I’d DEFINITELY watch a few episodes if she were on it!

Can you believe it? Going to jail and rehab is beneficial for Lindsay in more ways than one. OK! magazine has secured the rights to her first interview post-treatment, paying her a cool $1 million for her time.

The 24-year-old will probably be released from rehab very soon, as doctors observed she needs less care than they initially thought.

And yes, Lindsay only served 13 days of her 90 day prison sentence, and will only be staying in rehab for part of her ordered three months, as well.

Her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, says Lindsay is responding well to treatment and is ready to get back to work.

Holley was spotted leaving the UCLA Medical Center where the actress is staying. She explained:

Ms. Lohan is doing very well. She was surprised that Judge Revel was no longer going to be handling the case. However, Ms. Lohan will continue to comply with the court’s orders whether its from Judge Revel, or Judge Fox.

After prosecutor Danette Meyers objected to not being involved with certain aspects of the case, Judge Marsha Revel decided to step down.

Meanwhile, Lindsay has been in rehab for a little over two weeks (can you believe it?!) and is looking good, according to her lawyer:

Ms. Lohan looks very good. She looks healthy. My client is looking forward to returning to work on her many creative endeavors upon her release from the treatment facility.

I’m insanely curious to see if she stays there for the entire 90 days she was ordered to. I really think it would be good for her, ESPECIALLY since she’s come a long way already (according to reports that is).

It is supposed to be a place where she can focus on herself, right? Well…the only people allowed to visit Lindsay Lohan in rehab are blood related relatives.

The program at UCLA prohibits the 6126 designer from seeing non-relatives until after her first 30 days (she’s in there for 90). Lindsay also needs to approve each person who comes to see her before they’re inside.

So far, the only frequent visitors are mom Dina and sister Ali. Wonder if Michael Sr. has gotten denied yet….
