Former leading lady of The Hills, Lauren Conrad, has been dating actor Kyle Howard for two years now. The fashion designer reveals her current relationship is better than any one she’s had in her past.

Conrad explains:

He’s really sweet, and I didn’t always like sweet guys. He’s so funny and he makes me laugh every day. It’s not work with him – it’s easy. He’s also very supportive and instills confidence in me rather than making me feel insecure about myself. And most important, he hasn’t cheated on me like every other guy I’ve dated!

Let’s see….she’s gone out with Stephen Coletti, Jason Wahler AND Brody Jenner! She wasn’t completely in the dark when it came to their sneaking around, though:

Oh, I knew back then when I was being cheated on. But I overlooked it. The more confident me has come to the point where I’ve finally realized it’s not something that everyone does. And it’s not okay to have your guy hook up with someone else. You deserve better.

Lauren was always my favorite cast member on the MTV realty series. I honestly quit watching after she left! It was just never the same.

Lauren Conrad won’t be celebrating Valentine’s Day with boyfriend Kyle Howard this year because she feels the day is “forced”.

She explains:

I usually don’t make plans for Valentines Day. It’s so forced. I would rather get a sweet surprise on a Tuesday and reservations are impossible.

Conrad no longer watches The Hills, but instead gets her reality TV fix from a different show:

I haven’t seen it since I left. But I watch ‘Jersey Shore’ so I am still supporting MTV. Last night was the highlight, it was a double episode. There was two! There’s this one part where Ronnie hits a guy and they don’t really get the hit… Ronnie knocks him out. I really like J Wow because she can throw a punch!

I really only liked The Hills when she was leading the pack and it wasn’t as RIDICULOUSLY scripted as it is now.

As most of you know by now, Lauren Conrad is quite the business woman. She’s pulled off a successful career as a reality TV star and fashion designer, she’s a New York Times best-selling author…and now she’s set to publish her first style book next fall.

“Lauren Conrad Style” will give tips on how to dress for her California lifestyle.

She says:

I know this guide will offer simple, practical tips to help anyone look fabulous.

Looks like Lauren Conrad’s book, bestseller “L.A. Candy”, is going to be made into a movie!

Informed by Conrad’s experiences, “L.A. Candy” tells the story of a 19-year-old who moves to Hollywood, quickly finds fame as a reality series star and then has to deal with the ramifications of living a fishbowl life.

Temple Hill partner Marty Bowen says:

Lauren, who became an icon in that reality show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book. We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, wow, this isn’t at all what I’d planned for myself.

Conrad plans on writing two more books. I bet she didn’t even think this would reach such a high level of success! Congrats to her.

Audrina Patridge has her own reality show in the works, tentatively titled The Audrina Show , but former cast mate Lauren Conrad won’t be tuning in. She says:

I don’t like to watch people I know on TV…it’s weird. Even friends of mine that are actors, I don’t like to watch their shows. There’s just something weird about it.

Don’t take it personally, Audrina, she won’t be watching The Hills this year either. Conrad continues:

I haven’t been following it and we don’t really talk about it in the apartment, so I don’t really think about it.

The apartment she’s referring to is one she shares with Lo Bosworth, who actually is thinking about leaving The Hills as well.

Bosworth notes:

I guess we’re waiting to see if there’s going to be another season or not, but I’m leaning towards being done.

Lo is reportedly trying to start a hosting career. Would you continue to watch the MTV hit series without her? It would basically only have Speidi left – and that’s the one couple everyone wants gone!
