Us Weekly reveals some new details about Jon’s getaway to Park City, Utah with his 23-year-old mistress friend Deanna Hummel (on Kate’s birthday, nonetheless).

The two enjoyed watching the annual Pond Skimming race at the Spring Gruv festival while downing free Budweisers.

Jon told a local friend:

Hey, it’s Kate’s birthday. I should get her something.

But it looks like he didn’t have time for that, considering the same night he and Deanna were canoodling at a bar. Later in the night they began reeking of pot. The source adds:

I know that the kids he’s hanging out with like a little herbal substance.

This morning, Kate Gosselin appeared on the Today show to promote her book, Eight Little Faces. During the interview, she couldn’t avoid the question about Jon’s recent infidelity.

Kate says she is hesitant to believe the rumors are true and that the focus remains on her kids. She says:

Everything we do is for our kids.

Well put.
