Get The Look: All Knotted Up
From the runway…to the realway! This Spring, celebrity stylist Philip Pelusi says a chic, knotted chignon is a fabulous way to take your look to new heights. Here are his step-by-step instructions for creating a twisted look that wows!
1. Spray hair with P2 Refresh Hair to give hair texture (Think of it as a “dry cleaner” for your strands.)
2. Divide hair into two ponytails: perimeter and crown
3. Pull the perimeter ponytail into a high nape
4. Spray again with P2 Refresh Hair
5. Pull a hair net over the ponytail and fashion it into “petals”

Get The Look: The Messy Up Do
The messy up do was a trend on the Academy Awards red carpet on Sunday. Celebs including Faith Hill, Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel McAdams, Miley Cyrus, Penelope Cruz, Zoe Saldana and Kristen Stewart all tied their tresses in sexy, undone knots.

To get the look at home, celebrity stylist Oscar Blandi (who created Faith Hill’s look and has worked with Penelope and Jennifer) suggests following these steps:
Step 1: To create this look, the base is critical. Let 70% of the hair air dry and apply Oscar Blandi Volumizing Spray ($18, available at Sephora.com) from roots to end. Flip the hair upside-down and blow-dry on low mild heat.

Step 2: Secure all the hair at the nape of the neck with an elastic, using your fingers as a comb to separate the hair for a natural pulled back effect. Wrap individual hair sections around the ponytail and secure with hair pins for a undone chignon.
Step 3: Lightly pull out hair around the hairline to create a tussled loose frame around the face.
Step 4: Finish with Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray ($23, available at Sephora.com) for shine and a flexible hold.

Get The Look: Anna Kendrick
At last night’s Oscars, Best Supporting Actress Nominee Anna Kendrick glowed in shades of pink and coral. (How totally trendy! These sisters love the way she dazzled!) Celebrity makeup artist Sara Glick created the Up In The Air star’s look with products by Arcona Skincare and tarte cosmetics. Here’s how to get it:

Get the Look: Anna Kendrick, Oscars 2010
Inspiration: Youthful, ethereal beauty—think soft, natural glowing skin.
1.) Prep: Anna’s skin was prepped with Arcona Skincare’s Magic White Ice to protect, nourish and hydrate. White Ice is a light, all natural moisturizer that helped the star stay hydrated.

2.) Cheeks: Anna’s cheek bones were accented with tarte’s natural cheek stain in eco-cheek, a coral shade. Glick dabbed and blended the stain on Anna’s cheek bones for a natural flush.

3.) Lips: Glick wanted to create a soft, healthy pink lip with a touch of shine. She used tarte’s lipsurgence natural lip stain in charmed (light pink) as a base. She topped the stain with tarte’s double-ended natural lip gloss in jake & samantha (using the samantha side- a pale cotton candy pink) for added shine.

4.) Finish: Glick set the look with Arcona’s Lavender Hydrasol for a fresh and dewy complexion and an extra dose of calming with aromatherapy.

Review/GIVEAWAY: Curel Itch Defense Lotion
Dry, itchy skin can be a pain! (Especially when you want to show off those killer legs come Spring!) With the seasons for sleeveless shirts and short skirts around the corner, we’ve been on the hunt for a lotion that will keep our bodies soothed and smoothed.
We’re happy to report…we’ve found the solution at the drugstore! Curél® Itch Defense Skin Balancing Moisture Lotion for Dry Itchy Skin promises to banish dry skin demons, boost skin’s moisture levels and put a stop to the scratch. It also promises to help relieve eczema.

Curel says that 90% of women who tried the formula saw a noticeable improvement in their skin over the course of one week. So we put this product to the test! In the morning, before we hit the hay, even when our dry digits needed a pick me up…we lathered on the lotion.
The actual product is thick, but doesn’t feel greasy. It seeped in and absorbed quickly, hydrating our parched parts and transforming lackluster skin instantly. And when it comes to scratching skin? Forget about it! Must be Curel’s “anti-itch ingredients”: Panthenol (to soothe redness and irritation), Olive Oil (to help retain moisture and treat eczema) and Shea Butter (to soften skin). And because the formula is fragrance-free…it’s sensitive skin approved! In fact, Curel Itch Defense has passed eight different safety tests, is dermatologist-tested, pediatrician-tested, and allergist-tested.
We only needed a few pumps of Curel Itch Defense to cover ourselves, making the bottle a bang for our buck at just $7.99.
Ready for the GIVEAWAY? One lucky reader will win (1) full sized bottle of Curél® Itch Defense Skin Balancing Moisture Lotion for Dry Itchy Skin. Simply leave a comment below to enter. One comment per person. Open to residents of the United States only. This giveaway ends Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Good luck!
