All Tied Up: Scarf Styling Tips

They’re classy and sassy and are a perfect fit for all four seasons. We’re talking about scarves. They’re spotted on some of our favorite celebrities as head wraps, belts and neck warmers. Whether you love donning one with studs and skulls or simple love a cashmere scarf with a pretty pastel color, there are plenty of fashionable ways to wear this super stylish accessory. Elegant, sporty, classic and casual looks can be created with different sizes and shapes and some simple techniques.

Scarf Styling Tips From Designer Sabina Les
Cool Bandana Scarf Look (Use a medium size 21” square scarf)
Step 1: Fold medium size 21” square scarf to form a triangle shape

Step 2: Keep folding the corner in until form an about 2” wide strip


Step 3: Wrap the formed scarf strip around your head and the forehead, tie in the back and fold the knot corners under

This type of a scarf bandana looks very rock-n-roll and stylish at the same time.

Twist Headband Scarf (Use a long 10”x60” oblong scarf)
Step 1: Drape 10”x60” long oblong scarf in top of the head with one side longer then another

Step 2: Twist one side of the scarf then twist another


Step 3: Tie a knot or let the scarf ends hang loose

This hair accessory that is both stylish and fun. Great for windy days!

Fedora Scarf Look (Use a long 10”x60” oblong scarf)
Step 1: Drape 10”x60” long oblong scarf around fedora with two sides equally draped on both sides

Step 2: Wrap the scarf around the fedora’s top and tie in the back

This is a very stylish and sexy look that is a total head turner!

Traditional Scarf Look (Use a large 36” square)
Step 1: Fold 36” square scarf to form a triangle shape

Step 2: Place the scarf center on top of the head and cross the ends behind your neck

Step 3: Wrap the ends on top of your head peasant style into a knot. You can either hide the ends under or leave it out.
