The Secret Life of the American Teenager actress, and real life mommy, just gave birth to twins!

She and her family welcomed a boy and girl on July 10th. Big sister Mathilda Ereni, 5 1/2, must be so excited!

Ringwald commented on the age difference between her children:

I actually think it’s a good thing considering we’re having twins. It would be so much harder with a toddler than with an almost 6-year-old. It’s exciting, especially since it’s a boy and girl … It’s the best of both worlds.
